Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) usually takes place in June or July each year. However, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic we have taken the difficult, but necessary decision to postpone this year’s meeting to best protect our members and staff. We have decided to reschedule this year’s AGM to 14th September, to meet our regulatory requirement of holding an AGM within 15 months of the previous year’s meeting. In line with Government guidelines, attendance at the AGM will be restricted but the meeting will be recorded and available to all members on our website. As always, member engagement is encouraged and welcomed by the Board and we will be establishing an on-line process for members to raise questions and give feedback which we will publish and act upon in advance of the AGM.
Further details of how you can engage with the AGM process will be published shortly.
Stuart Purdy (Chairman)
Each year we hold an Annual General Meeting in accordance with the Friendly Societies Act 1992 which gives all members over the age of 18 the opportunity to vote on key Society decisions.
Your Vote Matters
There are a number of ways to vote in our AGM including online, by post, in person or by nominating an individual or proxy to vote for you. We encourage all members to vote in the AGM because it is your opportunity to have a say and influence the future of your Society.
